The essentials, explained

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS.

What is the difference between diamond drilling and core drilling?

Core drilling describes a process in which a core bit removes a cylinder of material. Diamond drilling uses a bit with diamond segments. The terms often refer to the same type of round openings in concrete and masonry.

What affects the cost of diamond drilling?

Quantity, diameter, depth, material and access are considered. Direction and position can also matter. Torsten needs the project details before a pricing basis can be agreed.

Can you drill in an occupied building?

Each job needs an individual assessment. Explain ongoing operations, access, occupants and nearby installations. The work area, position and precautions must be clarified before execution.

Must the structure and installations be checked before drilling?

Yes. The drilling position must be agreed, and structural conditions, reinforcement and concealed services must be addressed during project preparation. Drilling work does not itself constitute a structural assessment.
